Recyle Site Relocates to Bruner St.

The recycling drop offsite found at the Santa Rosa Clean Community System Green-Up Nursery located at 6758 Park Avenue in Milton will be closed Tuesday, Mar. 20 through Wednesday, Mar. 21 and will reopen at its new location of 5236 Bruner Street . The new recycle site is located at the old Milton Firehouse and is part of a new “recycling innovation station” operated by the Santa Rosa Clean Community System, Inc. in partnership with Santa Rosa County and the City of Milton.  Residents needing a recycle site during the transition are asked to utilize one of the county’s other 2 3 recycling drop off locations. A complete list of sites can be found online at www.santarosa.fl.gov/recycle/index.html .

In addition to the recycling containers, plans for the site include a garden area made from recycled glass and recycled plastic tables, benches and garbage cans for use by the public. Kiosks will provide educational information about recycling.    Santa Rosa Clean Community System, Inc. is soliciting donations to complete the recycling innovation station and businesses, corporations and individuals are now being asked to help “Climb the Ladder” to the top to help transform the old firehouse.  Sponsorships are available at the Platinum Ladder Level – $1,000 or more; Gold Ladder Level – $500-$999; Silver Ladder Level – $250-$499; or Bronze Ladder Level – $50-$249. All donations are tax-deductible. For more information contact John Tonkin, Santa Rosa Clean Community Executive Director, Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at (850) 623-1930 or by email at director@srclean.org .
