Jay High Competitive Cheerleading Squad -State Runner Up in Academic Achievement

FHSAA just announced their Winter Athletic Season’s Academic Team Champions. Jay High’s Cheerleaders are State Runner-up in Competitive Cheerleading.   They won 2nd in the state for academic excellence in Class 1A with a team GPA of 3.559. This award is given to the squad with the highest GPA.  ” I’m so proud of our cheerleaders at Jay” , says Coach Junia Fisher.  The girls are not just 2nd in 1A but second in the State.  ” I’m so glad I was able to be apart of such a beautiful, talented, and intelligent squad”, stated Coach Mindy Jordan in response to the announcement.

Placing first with a GPA of 3.595 is Northside Christian (St. Petersburg).

The members are: 1st row – Abby Raney, Tessa Hendricks, Meredith Owens, Tori Reid, Crystal Brown (not pictured), All of these are seniors the rest of the squad are 2nd row – Kendra Wells, Sha Kinder, Carly Owens, Hannah Roberts, Brittani Ashworth, 3rd row – Jody Paramore,  Katy Bodiford,  Morgin Mitchem, Kayla Flowers, Kaitlyn Agerirre, and Alisha Roberts.  The girls are coached by Junia Fischer and Mindy Jordan.
