Music Education on a High Note:  The Young Americans teach the importance of Music and Performance to children all over the world, one school at a time.

California based performing group, The Young Americans,  is preparing to make stops in 21 US cities during their 2012 Spring International Music Outreach Tour including a local tour stop at Milton High School March 14-16.

These talented young adults are trained performers, teachers and strong music advocates who use philosophies and methods, developed during The Young Americans’ 47 years of existence to bring the joy of singing, dancing and performing to students all around the world. During their International Music Outreach Tours, the company has worked with more than 300,000 young people in public and private schools, (including youth detention centers and prisons) and performed for millions of audiences members worldwide.

On this tour to Milton, The Young Americans will conduct a 3-day music theater workshop open to students 4th-12th grade in Santa Rosa County. This memorable workshop will be packed full of music, dance, and theater fun and conclude with a spectacular show that will wow the audience and touch the hearts of parents, teachers and the community. Schools continue to express amazement for the way these workshops lift spirits, build self esteem and encourage teamwork in their students.  The Young Americans are proud to serve as role models for young kids all over the world as together they share the Universal language of music.

The Young Americans were founded in 1962 by successful Hollywood music composer and arranger Milton C. Anderson who still serves as CEO. Anderson’s philosophy remains unchanged today, “To provide talented young student performers with education in music, dance, performance art and teaching. Then support these members as they teach and inspire younger students throughout the world”.  Anderson states.  The Young Americans have performed for Presidents and heads of state, won an Academy Award (Oscar), been on national TV and appeared live before a worldwide audience of millions.
