Disaster Action Team -Come and Be A Part
The American Red Cross of Northwest Florida prepares for and responds to disasters 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, through its Disaster Action Team (DAT). Always on call, DAT volunteers pro-vide disaster relief to meet the emergency needs of victims of house fires, storms, tornadoes, floods, transportation accidents and man-mad disasters.
Assistance needed by victims is evaluated by case workers and may include shelter, food, clothing emotional support, household items, pre-scription medication, and other needed items. Your opportunity to Become a DAT VOLUNTEER is here.
To Become a DAT team member and learn skills that will better prepare you to assist your family and neighbors during disasters attend a local meeting on Thursday, February 16th, 2012 at Pensacola State College in Century, Florida at 6:00 pm.
