Royals’ Russell has Double-Double in loss to Baker

The Jay High School Lady Royals fell to Baker in the Quarter Finals on Thursday night 33-48.  Emily Russell, led the Royals with 10 points and 10 rebounds.  The Lady Royals came into the game on a 5 game winning streak.  They finished the season 15-11.  Coach Rhett Rowell said, “Our young girls did great tonight, and we are going to miss our seniors.  We advanced in the tournament this year.  We have a lot to look forward to, our younger players are really, really good and we will focus on getting better. ”

Scoring for the Royals were:  Emily Russell -10 points, Becca Calloway -9 points, Lauren Diamond -4 points, Hillary Hendricks -3 points, Carissa Mulford -3 points, Olivia Wright 2 points, and Samantha Steadham -2 points.
