Royals Fail to Slay Giant from Bonifay

The Royals lost a tough game on their home court Tuesday night against Bonifay 37-59.   Athletic Director and Head Coach Lance Youngblood said, “I am very proud of how hard our team played.  We may not have slayed the Giant but we threw our best stone.”  Todd Laney led the Royals with 18 points and 7 rebounds.  Holmes County was led by their starter, #23, Chris Walker.  Chris is a 6′ 9″ Sophomore at Bonifay and scored over half of their points in the game.

Scoring for the Royals were: Todd Laney 18 points, 7 rebounds; Tyler Prescott 10 points, 9 rebounds; Brandon Boutwell 6 points; Tate Upton 2 points, 3 assists; and  Eric Travino 2 points, 3 assits.

The Lady Royals came up short against Bonifay  30-46.  Scoring for the Lady Royals were: Tessa Hendricks -10 points, EmilyRussell -8 points, Taylor Moore -4 points, Hillary Hendricks -4 points, Becca Calloway -2 points, and  Samantha Steadham -2 points.
