Burgess selected to Under Armor Tournament Team

Chandler Burgess has been selected to the Under Armor Tournament team for baseball.  Chandler is the son of Jimmy and Vanecia Burgess.

Only 165 kids were selected in the nation, as of Sunday only 4 positions were left to be filled.  Chandler earned one of those spots.  He will be playing baseball the week after Christmas in South Florida.

The 2011 Under Armour Recruiting Classic: held December 27 – 30, 2011 is a Highly Accelerated Player Development, College Recruiting and Competition.  This program is designed for High School players who have shown a high level of polish in their game and are ready for the most advanced instructional techniques. Players will be put through full combine testing so that the instructors can work on player deficiencies both from a baseball skill and movement efficiency standpoint (agility, strength, flexibility). Players will train 10 hours per day and play in a highly competitive National Tournament with players from all over the United States. Players are taught how to translate their game successfully from practice to a game situation. Players will also learn advanced techniques for hitting a curveball and will participate in an Accelerated College Recruiting Seminar.

Congratulations Chandler!
