Milton, FL – November 10, 2011 – Santa Rosa Kids’ House (SRKH) will host its Second Annual Festival of Trees on Friday, December 2 and Saturday December 3. SRKH is located at 5643 Stewart Street, in Milton. The house will be open to visitors on Friday from 2 PM to 8 PM, and Saturday from 10 AM to 3 PM. On Saturday evening at 6:30 PM the Festival of Trees will conclude with a Christmas Celebration and silent and live auctions of the decorated trees. Last year over $10,000 was raised. This year SRKH hopes to raise at least $15,000.
Festival of Trees is Santa Rosa Kids’ House’s biggest fundraising event of the season. The community is encouraged to join us for a tour of the house and view the dozens of decorated trees and wreaths donated by local businesses, churches, civic organizations and individuals. The trees and wreaths will be beautifully adorned with different themes; Florida Gators, Alabama – Roll Tide, Georgia Bulldogs, Blue Angels, Blue Christmas, Barbie, Disney and a camping themed tree, just to name a few. Santa will be available for pictures, families can enjoy face painting and cookie decorating activities, and hot chocolate will be provided. Tickets are $5 for adults and free for children under 12 years of age.
The reception and silent auction on Saturday evening will conclude the weekend’s events. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served. The night will culminate with the closing of the silent auction, and a live auction of our most popular trees. Tickets for the Christmas Celebration are $40 per person.
