Cold Weather Shelter

One  cold weather shelter for the homeless will open tonight,  Tuesday, November 29 and Wednesday November 30 in Santa Rosa County :

• Ferris Hill Baptist Church located at 6848 Chaffin Street , Milton

Those who would like to stay at the shelter must arrive between 6:30 p.m.  and 8:30 p.m. No one will be admitted after 8:30 p.m. unless brought in by law enforcement.  The shelter will close at 7 am the following morning. 

Beginning December 1, a second shelter at Community Christ Church located at 2111 Presidio Street in Navarre will be available on nights when weather is forecasted to drop below 40 degrees. Cold weather shelters in Santa Rosa County typically operate December 1 through March 31.
