Drug Take-Back a Success

During the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office “Drug Take-Back” Event that took place on October 29th, the Sheriff’s Office collected 56.2 pounds of prescription drugs. According to Sheriff Hall, “I am very pleased with the public’s participation in this initial effort put forth by our agency. By collecting these prescription drugs, we are able to make sure that they are properly disposed of, while keeping them out of the hands of people to whom they are not prescribed”. Sheriff Hall is also launching a new program at the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office that will allow the public to come to the same locations listed below and drop off prescription drugs, any day of the year during normal business hours. This will make it more convenient for our citizens to dispose of the drugs properly.
