Royal Runners Excel at ESCAROSA Invitational
Jay High Girls took 2nd place for Santa Rosa schools at the cross country meet at Pace. Jorja Agrait led the girls with a 21:30, her personal best. Micah Kemp led the boys with a 17:56. this was a cross country 5K. Way to go Royal runners!
The Lady Royals of Jay High placed 4 th overall at the EscaRosa County Championship meet. The Royals came in second in Santa Rosa County. In a field of more than 110 runners three of the Royals placed in the top 15, they were 8 th grader Jorja Agrait(12 th ), senior Allison Blair(14 th ), and 9 th grader Jessica Thornton(15 th). Only one other school(Catholic) had more than Jay did in the top 15 runners. Six of the eleven Royals who ran on Saturday set new personal records.

The Royals only dressed out 2 boys in the race, Micah Kemp 24 th overall with a time of 17:56 and Mark Foley 102th overall with a time of 21:29. The Royals have had several meets with boys sick or suffering from injuries. The hope all the boys can be a the District meet and run well.
