The Women’s Place

Santa Rosa Medical Center welcomed a delegation of  International Leaders of Breast Cancer Research and Treatment . The focus of this delegation is breast cancer awareness and outreach, and is designed for medical professionals involved in women’s breast cancer treatment and prevention initiatives.  The Women’s Place is Santa Rosa County’s only comprehensive diagnostic imaging center designed specifically for women.  The Women’s Place features leading imaging technology, a tranquil environment, and an on-site certified breast patient navigator.  Diagnostic services include digital mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, ultrasound and bone densitometry.  The Women’s Place is led by Medical Director Pam Schurman, DO, board certified general surgeon.  The focus of the month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness – be informed, maintain a regular checkup schedule.
