Lady Royals win JD McDaniel Invitational
The Jay High Lady Royals won the the 7th annual JD McDaniel Invitational on Saturday, October 8, 2011. This is the first time in the history of the meet that the Lady Royals have taken Top Honors. The Lady Royals as a team were all able to place in the top 20 runners out of 53. Jay had two runners in the top five and was able to keep the team score to 69 points. Jessica Thorton with a time of 21.03 came in 5th overall and Jorja Agrait with 21.36 slipped into 10th place. Other scores for Jay were: Senior Allison Blair 22.17, Ally Settle 22.18, Savanna Brown 22.30 and also running for the team Jenna Thorton 23.20, and Kristen Pike 23.55.
