Medicare’s Annual Open Enrollment Starts October 15

Medicare’s open season starts and ends earlier this year. People will have seven weeks, from October 15 to December 7, to check out new drug and health plan choices, compare options and pick the ones that work best for them. The earlier enrollment period ensures that recipients will receive their plan materials and membership cards by January 1, 2012, when new coverage starts.
