Escambia River Electric Cooperative has been utilizing Florida Monthly magazine for many years to provide you, our member-owners, with important information regarding your cooperative.
We have enjoyed our relationship with Florida Monthly magazine; however, they have recently experienced delayed delivery dates to which they attribute the national economic downturn as the cause.  We have worked together with Florida Monthly in an attempt to resolve the situation and continue the publication; however, we realize the welfare of our members is our first priority.  While we sympathize with Florida Monthly on this crisis, we believe we now must move forward to meet our obligation to keep you informed.

As a result, we have decided to join together with other Florida cooperatives to bring our members a new publication through Ruralite Services, a member-owned cooperative.  With this endeavor, EREC will be part of an organization with a combined circulation of more than 500,000.  Ruralite Services members already enjoy favorable treatment from vendors due to their size.  The addition of Florida cooperatives will further enhance their purchasing power and economies of scale.

After diligent research with other cooperatives, we believe a member publication through Ruralite Services will be in the best interest of you, our member-owners, for a quality, cost-effective publication.  As your electric provider governed by cooperative principles, we are committed to providing you with legislative updates, energy efficiency tips, cooperative news and member information that will enable you to make wise energy decisions for your family and your electric cooperative.
