Body found in Gulf of Mexico
The discovery of a body Wednesday Sept. 21, 2011 around the coast of Bravo Dzilam was not far from where the appearance of a pleasure yacht abandoned off the coast of Puerto Chuburna was found, speculation is that the body could be that of Missing Boater Lee Kent. Officials can not identify the body yet because of decay. There are also reports that the body could correspond to that of a worker lost the platform of Campeche.
This yacht, the “MonkeyB II”, owned by Kent Lee, 41, who sailed from on Saturday August 27 from Little Sabine Bay, Florida, was found by two fishermen in Chuburna, abandoned on Aug. 31, 2011. The yacht was found without fuel in the tank.
The Kent family held a memorial service for friends and family to come and share memories about Lee. Lee is a native of Jay but had resided in Gulf Breeze for many years.
The yacht “MonkeyB II,” a Boston Whaler Outrage 320 model, remains in custody of the Port Captain in the Navy Pier Silcer II. There are also reports that the body could correspond to that of a worker lost the platform of Campeche.
