Central CC Boys Finish First
The Central Cross Country Boys finished first at the meet held at Lake Jackson on Tuesday, September 13 with Paxton hosting. Coach Nick Golden is very proud of his team on this accomplishment, and stated that “all of the teams involved at the meet are in our district ” .
Kyle Fuller finished third overall and first for Central at the Cross Country meet with a time of 19.30; Keifer Boyett was fourth with a time of 20.48; Nick Pooley 7th with a time of 20.57; other runners for Central were Brad Moye 21.40; Nolan Frady 22.09; Marshal Peacock 23.02; Spencer Puice 23.27, Cole Harris 25.41, Garret Puice 26.11, Dale Campbell 26.20, Richard Winkelback 26.34, Philip O’Brian 27.2, Garrett Pierce 27.44, and Tristan Ellison 29.35, and Tristan Rutehrford 31.27.
Central had a commanding lead in team scoring. The points were as follows: Central -41 Laurel Hill-50 Freeport -76 Paxton – 94, Baker -99, Rocky Bayou -167.
The Central girls team finished third overall out of the six teams participating in the meet. Beth Smith for Central finished 5th overall with a time of 24.34; with Brandi Bradley at 25.43 right behind her in the 6th slot. Other Jaguars are Erica Water 27.00, Kennedy Fuller 28.09, Courtney Rutherford 34.51, and Alaina Monrow 34.52.
The points for the girls teams were: Freeport – 31, Baker – 39, Central – 82, Rocky Bayou – 92, Paxton – 128, Laurel Hill – 147.
The Central Cross Country teams travel to Pace on Tuesday, September 20 for their next meet.
