A suspect was arrested on 9/14/2011 for exposing himself to five children as they walked to a school bus stop in Pace, FL. Deputies arrived at 0840 hours after they received a complaint from a parent about a neighborhood man exposing himself to their child and four other children. The children were walking past 4818 Auburn Road, Pace, FL, when they observed the suspect (Brian Lee Brown, 38 years old) standing in the doorway of his shed, naked and touching his genitals. The other children also observed the man naked. Brown was located by deputies and questioned. Brown stated that he lived in the shed located behind the home at 4818 Auburn Road. Brown stated that when he woke up, he opened the shed door to get dressed. Brown stated that he didn’t expect children to be walking past his shed towards the bus stop. Brown stated that he didn’t mean to expose himself to the children, and stated that he “is not a pervert”. A previous report was filed against Brown on July 12, 2011 involving Brown at the same address. The complainant (the parent of a young child) was told by their child that Brown spoke inappropriately to the child while they were walking in the neighborhood. The child alleged that Brown stated that they were “sexy” and asked if the child was “a good kisser”. Brown also allegedly told the child that he could see though their dress, and told them that they could come inside his shed to watch movies. Deputies questioned Brown on that date concerning those allegations. Brown stated that he did confront the child to tell her that she had on “too much make-up” and their “dress was too short” to be wearing at that age. Brown denied the other allegations made by the child.

Due to the actions of Brown that occurred on 9/14/2011, he was arrested for 5 counts of Lewd or Lascivious Behavior and transported to the Santa Rosa County Jail. He is currently being held with no bond.
