Rowell retires from Berrydale Baptist

Roger Rowell, on bass, 2nd from left, is a member of the gospel bluegrass group called "Highway Home." The group (whose members are from all over the area) helped to celebrate this new chapter in Roger's life.

Roger Rowell, who’s been involved in music at Berrydale Baptist Church for 32 years, led the music for the last time Sunday, Aug. 28th . Roger is retiring as music minister to spend more time with his family and to be more available to visit with his growing brood of grandchildren at their various area churches. Roger and wife Joy assured the congregation that they would not be going “away” but would be serving in other ways. Berrydale Baptist celebrated the day by honoring Roger at a “dinner on the grounds.”
