Floyd not selected for Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission
Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Charles “Chuck” Roberts to the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Jack Floyd, from Jay, was seeking this position to help strengthen the voice of Northwest Florida. The Governor selected Roberts, 58, who is from Tallahassee and has been the president of C.W. Roberts Contracting Inc. since 1976. He succeeds Rodney Barreto and is appointed for a term beginning September 1, 2011, and ending August 1, 2016. This is a disappointment to many in the area who were hoping to bring new opportunities to Northwest Florida and to protect the area’s interest.
