NAS Whiting Field to Hold Annual Job Fair
NAS WHITING FIELD, Milton, Florida— Despite a sagging job market and a struggling economy, Naval Air Station Whiting Field is poised to have its most successful annual job fair to date. The base’s Fleet and Family Support Center will host their twenty-second annual Job Fair Thursday, August 18, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
More than 75 local, regional and national agencies will be present to conduct interviews, provide job search assistance, or to offer employment. This is the largest turn-out of prospective employers in the history of the event.
Jobs in the energy industry will be one of the major focuses of the 2011 job fair, and, as always, there will be a focus on jobs for transitioning military members and their families.
The job fair is free to both job seekers and employers, and is open to the public.
Job seekers are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes to present to the company representatives. Additionally, there are locations on site to conduct interviews and fill out applications so attendees are advised to dress appropriately.
This is one of the largest annual job fairs in the Florida panhandle, and it is routinely praised by prospective employers as one of the best organized and beneficial events.
Job seekers may phone NAS Whiting Field’s Fleet and Family Support Center at (850) 623-7177, for additional information.
