Judy Baker Flowers
Judy Baker Flowers, age 42, died Wednesday, August 3.  She was born
September 29 in Brewton, AL to Herb Baker and Laura Baker Kalata, both
long-time educators in Santa Rosa County.
After graduation from college Judy married Alton Flowers and began life as
an Air Force Wife which lasted for 21 years until his retirement.  Judy and
Alton moved to Jay, Florida with their children after his retirement.  At
the time of her death, Judy was employed at United Bank in Jay.
Judy is survived by her children, Kayla, 15 and Jackson, 11 and her husband,
Alton Flowers.  She is also survived by her parents, Herb  and Wanda Baker
and George and Laura Kalata; her mother-in-law, Dorothy Flowers,her
grandparents, Charline and J. D. Warrick; brother Cory (Christy); three
sisters: Tamara Lugo (Victor), Stacie Specht (Mike), and  Cheri Kircher,
also  numerous  aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces  and nephews
Judy’s interests lay with her family and church family.  She and her family
are active members of Mt. Carmel Methodist Church.  She recently directed
bible school for Jay Methodist and Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.
Services will be conducted by Lewis Funeral Home.  Family visitation will be
Friday, August 5 from 5:00 to 6:00 followed by visitation for the public
from 6 to 8 p.m.  The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August
6.  All services will be held at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the Methodist Children’s
Home or a charity of your choice.
