Prep Football Week 5…With Picks!
JAY (1-2) @ CHIPLEY (4-0)—KICKOFF 7:00PM
Jay is coming off their second loss of the season at the hands of rivals Baker. A sluggish first half could not be overcome, even with the Royals scoring 20 unanswered in the third quarter to take the lead over the Gators last week. Chipley is coming off a lop-sided 55-0 victory over winless Vernon. And while Chipley is undefeated, their four opponents combined record is an unimpressive 4-9. Hopefully Jay can get their first win on the road this week.
Last season, Jay defeated Chipley, 23-13.
NAVARRE (0-3) @ MILTON (4-0)—KICKOFF 7:30PM
The winless Raiders make the trip to Milton this week to play the undefeated Milton Panthers. Milton’s turnaround season has been exciting and must-see (or must-read at least) football thus far. 3 of the 4 wins for the Panthers this year are by a combined five points. But, that’s what good teams do…they find a way to win close ball games. Milton should be able to win this game a little more comfortably than last week’s 3-0 win over Tate.
Last season, Navarre got it’s first win of the season, defeating Milton 15-13.
ANDALUSIA (3-1) @ PACE (2-1)—KICKOFF 7:30PM
Pace is coming off an open week where the week before they defeated Gulf Breeze 59-6. Pace has looked very good offensively since their week one loss. The Patriots have scored exactly 100 points in the last two football games. Andalusia won’t be a push over, however. They too lost their season opening game, but have won three in a row over Hillcrest, Headland, and Greenville in lopsided wins.
Last season, Pace defeated Andalusia 42-13.
CENTRAL IS OPEN.
