Dr. David Smith Honored for 45 Years of Service

Dr. David Smith was honored for 45 years of service and as a “hometown hero” of sorts. Smith has worked tirelessly in the medical field in the community of Jay for nearly five decades. Baptist Hospital CEO and former Hospital Administrator of Jay Hospital spoke of Smith’s dedication to not only the medical field but to the community of Jay, crediting Dr. Smith as saving the hospital for the community decades ago.
The Town of Jay also recognized July 25, 2025 as the official “Dr. David Smith Day.”
