Coach Stan Blackman Retires

JHS-On Friday Jay High School honored Stan Blackman on a much deserved retirement. Coach Blackman has taught for 30 years in Santa Rosa County including King Middle, Pace Middle, and Jay High.

Coach Blackman taught math and was a successful Cross Country and Track Coach. Blackman won multiple district championships in both sports and coaches state champions.

“I’ve loved my time here at Jay,” Blackman said at his retirement ceremony attended by current and retired teachers and staff from JHS. “This is a special place. I have so many funny stories. It goes by real quick.”

He ended his speech with an emotional, “Go Royals!”

Thank you Stan Blackman for your years of pouring your heart into JHS and the Jay community. You will be missed!
