Lady Royals Tame Bobcats
Tuesday-For the second time this year the Jay Lady Royals (11-1) defeated Paxton (13-2). Jay has handed Paxton their only two loses on the season. The Lady Royals got off to a fast start running the court from baseline to baseline, overwhelming Paxton completely. Paxton would not get on the scoreboard until over seven minutes had been played. The first quarter ended with a 21-2 Jay lead.
In the second quarter, Paxton’s offense would put more points on the board, scoring 14, but the Lady Royals matched the visitors, taking a 19 point lead into halftime.
“I was extremely pleased with how hard we got after it tonight from the tipoff,” head coach Jorey Diamond said.
Jay would outscore the Bobcats 23-21 in the second half to cruise to a 58-37 win.
Aubreigh Nelson led the way for the Royals, scoring 17. Up next for Jay is a trip to Central (10-6) on Thursday night.

The Royals are on a two game winning streak. Jay (6-4) defeated Paxton (7-9) on Tuesday, 57-48.
