North Santa Rosa

Week 6…with picks!

Huge week across the board for prep football. Milton hosts Mosley for homecoming (game has been moved to Monday), Pace travels to Crestview and Jay makes the short trip across state lines to face rival Flomaton in a gargantuan rivalry matchup.

Pace (3-1) @ Crestview (2-2)-Kickoff 7:00pm

Pace went to Andalusia last week and got a big 42-13 win. The Patriots have scored 97 points in their last two games, while only allowing 13. Crestview started the 2024 season off 2-0, defeating Milton and Walton, but have stubbed their toe in their last two games, falling to Choctaw and Niceville. Pace will lean heavy on the run and will hope to make it three wins in a row.

Last year, Pace defeated Crestview 28-0.

Mosley (5-0) @ Milton (0-5)-Kickoff Monday, 7:30pm

Milton is coming off a heartbreaking 15-13 loss at Navarre last week. A fumble at the goal line sealed the deal as the Panthers fell short of wrecking Navarre’s homecoming. The Panthers have come up just short this season in more than one occasion. Milton now has a tough task; hosting undefeated Panama City Mosley. The Dolphins have averaged 43 points a game this season.

The two teams did not play last season.

Jay (5-0) @ Flomaton (2-3)-Kickoff 7:00pm

Huge opportunity here for the Royals to go 6-0 against their rivals just across the Alabama/Florida line. Jay is coming off a very nice win over, then-undefeated Chipley, 23-13. Last week was a good showing for Jay as they responded to being down in the game and handled the adversity well. Even when they faced a turnover at the goal line, the Royals stayed focused, didn’t panic, and won the football game. The Hurricanes have dropped their last two games, after starting out 2-0. Flomaton lost last week to a very talented 4-1 Bayside Academy team, 14-0. You can throw out the records in this one as Flomaton will give Jay their best in front of their home crowd.

While there have been gaps of time when both schools did not play, it has been a very long time since Jay defeated Flomaton. 2001 to be exact (Jay won that year 48-11).

Last season, the two schools did not play.

Predictions

Last week, northsantarosa.com went 2-1, missing out on Milton, bringing the year’s record to 11-3. Trying for 3-0 this week. We’ll see how we do…
