Jags top Royals
Friday-The Central Jaguars topped the Jay Royals for the second time this year, 62-52. Central came out firing from the tip, scoring 19 in the first quarter, connecting on four three pointers. Jay scored 12 in the first, but was held to only five in the 2nd as Central led 27-17 at halftime.
After the break, Jay got within six in the third quarter, but Central would convert a couple of 3’s to keep their 10 point lead heading into the fourth.
The fourth quarter had 42 total points scored, as both teams scored 21 each. The Lady Royals got within four at one point, but missed free throws by Jay while Central converted their attempts, ultimately decided the outcome.
Central hit eight 3’s on the night and connected on 23/30 from the free throw line. Jay never lead in the contest and was 16/31 from the free throw line.
