Monday-The Jay Lady Royals dominated the Baker Gators 53-28 on Monday night. Nine different Jay players scored in the contest, including two eighth graders. Hattie Locklin led the way for the Lady Royals with 10 points. Carleigh Baker added nine as the visiting team dominated from the tip to the last whistle.
Jay outscored Baker 14-4 in the first quarter. It took over six minutes for the Gators to get on the scoreboard. Baker faired no better in the second, scoring only four again, as Jay took a 34-8 lead into halftime.
Full court pressure was eased in the second half, which allowed Baker to score 13 in the third, but the game was never in question as Jay won their second in a row.
