Gameday…Week 6-With Predictions
Milton (2-3) @ Tate (2-2)—Kickoff at 7:00pm
Milton is coming off a rough couple of weeks where they have been outscored 110-42, being shutout last week 37-0 by Escambia. Tate is coming off a close loss at Navarre last week, 45-42. The Panthers have had trouble stopping teams that can throw the football. Tate likes to run the ball, rushing almost 1,000 yards already on the year. Will Milton be able to stop the run?
Last year, Milton defeated Tate 21-7.
Pace (3-1) @ Gulf Breeze (2-2)—Kickoff at 7:00pm
Pace is 3-1 on the year. The only blemish on their record is from powerhouse Lincoln in week two. The Patriots are loaded at the skill position and have an extremely mobile quarterback. Gulf Breeze, which started out 0-2 is since 2-0, defeating Milton and Pensacola High. The two schools have a common opponent in Crestview. Pace defeated Crestview 28-0 while Gulf Breeze lost to the Bulldogs in week one, 35-21.
Last year, Gulf Breeze defeated Pace, 35-28.
Jay (4-0) @ Destin (5-0)—Kickoff at 7:00pm
A battle of unbeatens as these two teams meet up tonight. Jay is 4-0 for the first time in over 20 years and is the only team in Santa Rosa County that is still undefeated. The Royals are coming off an open week that was much needed to get some rest and time to get healed up, but still may not be 100%. Destin is undefeated as well and brings a balanced attack into the game as their rush and passing yards are almost equal. Look for Jay to run first to set up the passing game. Ball control and time management will be key tonight.
Last year, Jay defeated Destin 25-6.
