Lady Royals Win District
Thursday-The Jay Lady Royals are district champions! Jay (14-11) traveled to district host Northview (14-12) and defeated the Chiefs for the third time this year, 13-3. The win was the fourth in a row for Jay, who has played one of the toughest schedules in the area.
Jay jumped out on Northview and never looked back, scoring six runs in the first and four in the second.
Katie Gilbreath went 3/3 on the night while Brooklyn Sorrels went 2/3, batting in three RBI’s.
Jenna Toups got the win for the Royals on the mound, pitching all five innings played, striking out four.
