Royals Tame Tigers

Tuesday-It was the last guaranteed home game for the Lady Royal seniors and it was against a foe that Jay had lost to earlier in the season in extra innings.

The T.R. Miller Tigers came into Jay with 25-12 record. Jay (11-11) scored in the bottom of the first to take the 1-0 lead, but T.R. Miller would score 2 in the 3rd and 2 more in the 5th to go up 4-1. The 6th inning, however, would be the inning Jay’s bats would come to life. The Lady Royals scored 7 in the inning to take the lead and never look back.

Jay would total 12 hits on the night. Carleigh Baker and Caitlyn Gain both went 2 for 4 on the night while Kassidy Nevels and Kalee Gilbreath both wen 2 for 3. Jenna Toups got the win for the Royals on the mound, striking out 4.
