Jay Takes Down 7A Foley

Friday-Jay (11-3) traveled to Foley (8-9) and came back with a huge 3-1 win. In a game with a total of eight hits for both squads, Jay relied on good pitching and clean baseball to put themselves in a position to win. Eli Lowery pitched six innings for Jay, striking out 6. Wyatt Peaden finished the night for the Royals.

Hits were few and far between, but the bats came alive for the Royals when they needed them, scoring one in the 6th to tie up the score, then two in the top of the 7th to take the lead for Jay.

Hayden Morris, Levi Carnley and Ethan Mcdonald all went 1/3 on the night. Kade Gilbreath added a hit and recorded 2 RBI’s.
