Jay puts Freeport in Doghouse

Thursday-Jay (7-1) hosted Freeport (5-4) and was not kind to the visiting Bulldogs as the Royals got a huge 12-2 win. Freeport would strike first, scoring one run in the top of the 1st, but the lead would not last long as Jay would roar back in the bottom of the 2nd with 5 runs of their own. Freeport would add one more run in the top of the 5th inning, but it was too little too late as Jay tallied 7 more runs in the 3rd through 5th innings, totaling up 15 hits on the night.
Both Kade Gilbreath and Hayden Morris went 3/3 on the night while Justin Smarr and Wyatt Peaden went 2/3. Senior Ayden Sowers went 2/2 as well. Ethan McDonald got the win for the Royals on the mound.
