Desantis in Milton

Thursday-Governor Ron Desantis was in Milton at the Imogene Theater to tout the awarding of millions of dollars in funding rural broadband across the state. 41 counties across the state will receive part of $144 million in monies. Santa Rosa County received $2.3 million and was the first stop in this initiative. On hand to accept the check on behalf of Santa Rosa County was Heather Lindsay, Mayor of the City of Milton, and Eric Seib, Operations Manager for the Town of Jay. Rhett Rowell, Jay High School government teacher, spoke on the need for broadband in rural areas.

Desantis also spoke on tax relief that is coming for all Floridians as well.
