Paxton-On Wednesday Jay knocked off Freeport in the district tournament semi-finals round, 60-43. Jay was lead by Kaylee Gilbreath, who scored 26.

“Kaylee Gilbreath put on a show,” head coach Jorey Diamond said. “What a ballgame she had.”

Presley Hawthorne scored 11 and Darcy Locklin added 8. “Darcy was good off the bench,” Diamond added.

Jay will now be playing in the district championship on Friday.
“At this stage, we just want the win and move on,” said Diamond.
