Annual Constitutional Student Essay Contest

The middle school students had to choose one of the first four amendments, state what it is, and talk about its creation – why it was chosen, why it’s important and how it applied to life in America today. The essay had to be 800 or more words.
High school students had to explain the significance of a historical document(s) including key political concepts, the origins of these concepts, and their role in American independence as well as three examples of how these concepts are applied to American life. The essay had to be 1,600 or more words.
