JHS Alum Takes Position with FSU Softball

Mattie Cochran, 2022 Jay High graduate, will be working with and assisting the Florida State Softball Team this season. While serving as a softball team manager, Mattie will be able to be around the sport she loves so much and one that she has been so successful at. Cochran was the starting pitcher for the 2022 State Championship team for Jay and was in town this past weekend to receive her state championship ring.

“It’s been really fun being out there and really cool being a part of a team that I have watched from the stands and on tv for so long. On a normal day I just set up practice and help things run smoothly and will be working towards throwing batting practice for them!” said Mattie about her knew role.
