Desantis in Pensacola

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis held a rally in Pensacola on Tuesday, stopping at The Fish House. It was part of  DeSantis’ “Keep Florida Free Pit Stop” tour a week ahead of the election. The incumbent governor spoke in front of around 100 people on the deck of the restaurant. He was introduced by District 3 (most of Santa Rosa and northern Okaloosa) Representative elect Dr. Joel Rudman, District 1 Representative elect Michelle Salzmahn and District 3 Representative elect, Alex Andrade.

DeSantis spoke about how important it was for everyone to get out and vote ahead of next Tuesday’s election day. He also reminded voters of all that he did during the Covid Pandemic, keeping CRT out of schools, and even spoke about taking on Disney.

Rudman, who represents the people of the north Santa Rosa area defeated Calkins in the Republican Primary back in August by almost a 2:1 margin. “It was a thrill to be on the same stage as Governor DeSantis,” Rudman said. “His fearlessness is what inspired me to run in the first place. I look forward to working with him.”

DeSantis is running against former Republican Governor of Florida, Charlie Crist, who is currently running as a Democrat.
