North Santa Rosa

Week 10…with predictions!

Big, BIG week 10 in Santa Rosa County with our high school football teams…

Jay (4-4) @ J. U. Blacksher (6-3)—Game time 7:00pm

Jay is coming off another bye week, so to speak. The Royals were scheduled to host winless Graceville last week, but the Tigers cancelled on game day. That was unfortunate due to the fact that Jay has dropped two games to rivals in back to back weeks. A game against a struggling Graceville team would have been good medicine for the Royals. Nevertheless, the Royals must turn their attention to the Bulldogs from Uriah. This is a very big game for both squads as both teams are in the playoff hunt and this seems to be a must-win for both schools if they want to make it to the next post season. J. U. Blacksher is having a great year, coming off a 48-0 shut out of Washington County. This is the season finale for the Bulldogs.

Last year, Jay defeated J. U. Blacksher 24-0. It was Jay’s only win last season.

Pace (5-3) @ Milton (2-6)—Game time 7:30pm

Milton has lost their last 2 games and seem to be coming into this rivalry game limping. The talent for the Panthers has not translated into wins, losing last week 49-28 to Crestview. Pace, on the other hand lost a close game to Navarre last week, 23-21 in which the Patriots had a chance to win late in the fourth.

Last year, Pace won a nail-bitter, 21-20 over the Panthers.

PREDICTIONS

Jay will have their hands full this week as they are playing a team that is very similar to themselves, offensively speaking. J. U. Blacksher is much improved from their winless season last year…but Jay is much better too. We say Jay wins a great, physical game, 24-20.

Pace and Milton both played Navarre close, both coming up short. This rivalry game will be close in the first half, but the experienced coaching staff will pull the Patriots to a 2 touchdown victory over the Panthers. 45-30

Northsantarosa.com went 3-0 last week, bringing the overall record for picks to 15-7.
