JHS SGA Hosts D1 Meeting

Wednesday-Jay High School’s Student Government Association hosted their district meeting at the Blue Wahoos Stadium. District 1 stretches from Tallahassee to Pensacola, as the district’s cheer explains; “From Tally to the Bay…” 395 high school students came to the event, representing 16 schools across the Panhandle. They were treated to doughnuts in the morning, then a guest speaker (Brandon Lee White), a grilled hamburger lunch, then separated  into small groups for break-out sessions that focused on leadership.

“I’m so proud of all the hard work that these kids have put into this event,” SGA sponsor Lana Rowell stated. “They represented Jay High School and our community very well through their leadership, organization, and hospitality.”
