Mid Week Report With Coach Watson

Q-Disappointing loss last week to one of your rivals. How have the boys responded and practiced this week?

A-I think they realize that we left some points on the field on Friday. We had 4 turnovers, 2 in the red zone. So while we didn’t score, we were knocking on the door and that game should have been closer than the score would indicate.

Q-What can you do to eliminate the turnovers?

A-We’ve worked on concentrating on our assignments and knowing that once we’re in the red zone that they’re going to send pressure and we need to pick up on that.

Q-From one rival to the next, what challenges does Northview present?

A-Very skilled. Big. Really good at all skill positions. Really good wide receivers, great quarterback.

Q-What are they going to try and do offensively?

A-They are going to spread us out and try and run between the tackles and then when you commit to stop the run, they’ll air it out and try and beat you throwing the ball.

Q-Anything in particular your staff is focusing on this week?

A-Shoring up assignments on offensive line and getting kids ready for a big challenge.
