North Santa Rosa

Gameday! Week 5

Jay (2-1) at Homes County (2-2)—Game time 7:00pm

Jay is coming off their open week. Holmes County is coming off their second loss in a row. Sneads defeated Holmes last week and Chipley defeated the Blue Devils the week before. With that being said, both Chipley and Sneads are undefeated on the season so those loses are good loses. Holmes will plan to out physical the Royals on Friday, running the option to setup the occasional play action pass. We’ll learn a lot about Jay on Friday night as this will be a tough test for the Royals.

Last year Holmes County defeated Jay, 27-12.

Milton (1-3) @ Escambia (2-2)

Milton is coming off a loss to Gulf Breeze last week, 35-22. To date in this young season the Panthers have been unable to transfer the highly rated offensive talent into wins. Escambia is on a 2 game winning streak. Last week they defeated Fort Walton, 35-7. The week before, they edged Gulf Breeze, 12-10.

Last year, Escambia won an overtime thriller, 35-34 over Milton.

Pace is off this week.

PREDICTIONS

Jay vs. Holmes County

Jay will have their hands full tonight. The Royals are still not 100% healthy in the backfield, which may be crucial in tonight’s game. But, Jay finds a way to win a physical matchup and ruin the Blue Devils’ homecoming.

Jay 34 Holmes County 30

Milton vs. Escambia

Escambia is a tough place to play and their football team is getting better and better. Northsantarosa.com has picked Milton to win every game this year and have only picked correctly once. Not this time.

Escambia 42 Milton 24

Northsantarosa.com is 4-5 on predictions so far.
