Royals Cross Country

Congratulations to several of our Royal runners! Many of them ran personal best times yesterday at the LEAD Academy Meet in the Wallace Community.  This is our fourth meet of the season, and so far they are clipping their times down.

The Jay boys team was led by senior Jody Godwin who placed 3rd overall in the race with a personal best of 18:36.  Other finishers were 5th place Ramsey Reaves with a personal best of 19:01.  6th place Athan Peterson with a personal best time of 19:08. Followed by 8th place Kenneth Garcia 20:32, Mason Tutt rounded out top 5 scorers for the team with a time of 21:15 placing 14th overall. Next for the Royals were 18th place Avery Wayland – 22:22; 21st place Eric Zhuo 22:38; 28th place Cooper Harrison 25:14; 29th Ryan Kelley – 26:00; 30th Nathan Smarr – 26:43; 31st Braydon Nowling 27:06.

The boys team placed second to Central, who had their own share of personal best times yesterday.  Captain Chance Thornton was out sick for yesterday’s meet. We are hoping he will be able to return for Saturday’s Washington Wildcat meet at PSC Milton Campus.
