What a Special Night…
On Thursday night, in front of a PACKED crowd, the gymnasiums (both of them) at Jay High officially took the new name “John Clarence Smith Gymnasium.” Before the boys took on rival Northview Chiefs, 96 year old FHSAA hall of famer Clarence Smith, along with his family, was honored with plaques and the official sign. Former players were also in attendance and recognized. The Royals went on to defeat the Chiefs to cap off a special night to be a Royal.
