Royals Stumble to 0-5 (W/gallery)
Holmes County(4-1) came in to Jay on a Thursday and left with a win, 27-12. The Royals scored first, but Holmes roared back with 20 unanswered points to go into the locker room with a 14 point lead. After throwing an interception on their first drive of the 2nd half, Jay scored on their second drive to cut the lead to 20-12. A wide open Blue Devil receiver for a 35 yard touchdown pass to start the fourth quarter cushioned the lead for the visitors.
