EREC Update

September 18, 2020, 11:00 pm – EREC line crews and assisting cooperative crews continue to make great progress in repairs to our power system. We are following the proper steps in power restoration to bring the largest number of members back online in the shortest amount of time. All substations are energized, and crews are working on main distribution lines and, in some areas, tap lines. 

95% of our membership was without power immediately following the storm. At this time, 41% of outages have been restored. We currently have 5,936 outages – 3,182 in Escambia County and 2,754 in Santa Rosa.

We appreciate our members’ patience as crews work around the clock making power system repairs. Restoration efforts will not stop until everyone’s electricity has been restored.
