Santa Rosa pushes back start date

7/21-Superintendent of Schools Tim Wyrosdick held a press conference today that was broadcast over Facebook Live and answered questions as well. The biggest news was that the school start date has been pushed back to August 24th, with teachers reporting to school on August 17th. The original start date was August 10th for kids and August 3rd for teachers. The use of face coverings for students was discussed as well as the options students have in regards to attending physical school or participating in distance learning. Much of these items have to be voted on and finalized by the school board. That meeting will take place Thursday, 7/23.
