Jennifer Arn selected as Santa Rosa Countyemployee of the quarter

Jennifer Arn, kennel tech III and lead liaison for the animal shelter’s foster program, was selected as employee of the quarter for Santa Rosa County. Jennifer has been instrumental in helping create new programs for the animal shelter such as Doggy Day Out, Puptails at Ollie’s, Bark at Brew Angels and Pack Walks. She also worked collaboratively with staff and the shelter vet to implement a healthy and hearty foster program which has saved lives and provided opportunities for adoption of very young, sick, medically needy and aged pets.  “It is definitely a pleasure to work with such a talented, dedicated and caring employee who has vision of greatness and compassion for the progression of the animal shelter,” said Dora Thomason, shelter director. “Jennifer’s can-do attitude and logic of thinking outside of the box has added so many positive aspects to the shelter’s programs that depend on the involvement of the community.”

Jennifer, who has been with Santa Rosa County for 19 years, consistently displays her love for animals by her caring actions. In just over a year, she has created opportunities for the shelter pets to experience positive enrichment. Jennifer’s creativity and willingness to take on huge projects has been an asset to the animal shelter resulting in more adoptions and live release rates than ever before.
