North Santa Rosa

Prep Football: Final Week

Northview (6-2) @ Jay (4-5) Gametime—7:00pm

Jay is coming off a 1-1 week where they traveled to Panama City Bozeman twice. On Monday Jay defeated North Bay Haven 32-6 and on Friday they lost to Panama City Bozeman, 49-35. Northview defeated Chipley last Friday, 52-14. Jay is coming into this game as the #6 ranked team in Region 1 (top 6 go to playoffs). Northview is #2 in Region 1. With a win, Jay would all but solidify their playoff spot and would possibly bump up to #5 or even to #4, which would mean hosting a playoff game. With a loss, the Royals’ playoff chances are in jeopardy.

Last year, Northview defeated Jay 30-20.

History will be made tonight at Merle V. North as Jay High School inducts its charter members to the school’s new Hall of Fame. The ceremony will be held at halftime of Friday’s game vs. Northview.

Catholic (9-0) @ Milton (5-4) Gametime—7:30pm

It’s homecoming at Milton this week as the Panthers host Catholic. Last week Milton was stunned by Pace on Thursday night, losing the defensive battle 6-3. Catholic comes into this one undefeated. The Crusaders defeated Choctaw 45-35 last week.

Last year, Catholic edged Milton 17-13.

 Pace (3-6) @ Oak Mountain, AL (3-6)  Gametime—7:00pm

Pace has to be feeling good about things currently with the home win over Milton last week, 6-3. The Patriots were able to grind out the win to shock the Patriots last week. Oak Mountain comes into this game on a two game losing streak.

Last year the two schools did not play.
